Silicon Savannah goes to counties as Kenya eyes startups, FDI boom with new technopolis law

Kenya has enacted a Technopolis Act, allowing counties to build their own Konza-style smart cities to attract startups and foreign investors. The law establishes a new Technopolis Development Authority, replacing the Konza Technopolis Development Authority, and provides incentives for startups by allowing exemptions from fees and charges. These technopolises aim to foster innovation in areas such as agri-tech, renewable energy, and fintech.
