South Africa: More than 3,500 Malawians repatriated

Over 3,500 Malawian citizens have left South Africa as part of a mass repatriation. According to Malawi's High Commissioner, 1,549 have returned, 1,260 are en route, 700 were deported, and another 700 repatriated with South African support. A second transit center is being built after the first, in Durban's Sherwood area, reached nearly 10,000 people. Many Malawians have lost their jobs and rely on free convoys organized by authorities.
