Man dies during Passion of Christ rehearsal in Cross River

Michael Obeten, a Mass Communication graduate and Passion of Christ actor, died on Good Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church Ugep in Cross River State. While teaching young actors, a local firework malfunctioned, striking him in the head. Despite initial attempts to help, he succumbed to his injuries, leaving the community in mourning throughout the Easter period.
