ICE agent charged with lying under oath about Minnesota shooting

Federal prosecutors have charged ICE agent Christian Castro with lying under oath about the shooting of Venezuelan man Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis during an immigration raid in Minnesota in January. Castro also faces multiple state felony charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon. Although Minnesota sought to extradite him from Texas, Texas Governor Greg Abbott declined to cooperate, resulting in Castro being detained for 90 days before his release last week.
