Police dismiss officer over misconduct

The Ekiti Police Command has dismissed Sergeant Osayingbemi Temitope due to his involvement in an incident related to illicit drug use. Captured in a viral video on May 9 in Ikole-Ekiti, he underwent medical and psychological evaluations. Tests revealed traces of tobacco and amphetamine in his system, and he confessed to using illicit drugs. The disciplinary procedures were concluded, and his dismissal was confirmed with immediate effect.
