Backed by Trump, Lindsey Graham's sister Darline to replace him in Senate

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster appointed Darline Graham Nordone to succeed her late brother, Senator Lindsey Graham, after President Donald Trump backed her. Nordone, who leads the South Carolina Commission for the Blind, has no formal political experience but appeared in her brother's campaigns. She will serve until January 3 and pledged to support President Trump and continue her brother's work, including his staunch support for Israel and the US-Israel war on Iran. Republicans will hold primaries next month for the permanent replacement.
