NTSA Sets Up Roadblocks on Key Routes After Easter Weekend Fatalities

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has set up roadblocks on major highways leading into Nairobi to curb road accidents as people return after the Easter festivities. Intensified compliance checks were conducted along Waiyaki Way and the Eastern Bypass, targeting motorists from various regions of Kenya. This operation was prompted by a report estimating 50 fatalities due to road accidents over the Easter weekend, primarily caused by speeding and reckless overtaking.
