Nigeria’s youth population is its greatest asset, says Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu said Nigeria’s greatest asset is the talent, creativity and resilience of its young people, rather than the mineral resources beneath its soil. He made the remarks at the groundbreaking for the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Centre for Youth Empowerment and Inter-Cultural Dialogue at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State. Represented by Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hazmat, Tinubu described the centre as a platform for skills training, mentorship and enterprise creation, and called for partnerships among universities, businesses, government and investors. He said the centre’s success should be judged by the opportunities it creates and lives it transforms, as well as its contribution to national unity and social cohesion.
