Windstorm topples 13 electricity poles, causes blackout in Kano, Katsina, Kaduna

The Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) announced power outages in parts of Kano, Katsina, and Kaduna states due to the collapse of 13 electricity poles caused by a strong windstorm. Affected communities include Dandume in Katsina, as well as Rogo, Sundu, Falgore, Tudun Wada, Saya Saya, Kadawa, and Hago in Kano, and Ikara in Kaduna. KEDCO apologized to residents for the disruption and assured that repair works are ongoing.
