Fatal fall from a 'Wopouya': Baba Touré, 25, killed instantly

Baba Touré, a 25-year-old apprentice mechanic, died after falling from a public transport vehicle known as 'Wopouya'. The accident occurred on Monday, April 6, 2026, around 10 a.m. on the road connecting Dahra to Mbeuleukhé while he was heading to Mbeuleukhé for a mechanical repair. Authorities, including the gendarmerie and Senegalese firefighters, were alerted and transported the body to the morgue at the Dahra health center.
