Breast cancer awareness: Cœur Glorieux NGO educates students at Mamie Adjoua school

On Friday, October 23, 2026, Cœur Glorieux NGO held a breast cancer awareness session for students at Mamie Adjoua school in Yopougon as part of Pink October. The girls learned about symptoms, risk factors and prevention, including breast self-examination and the need to seek medical advice promptly if they notice an abnormality. NGO president Liliane Kpazara hopes the students will share what they learned with their families and called for stronger cooperation between the education and health ministries. School studies director Apha Somagnan and student Fatou Koné welcomed the initiative; the article notes that self-examination does not replace screening recommended by health professionals.
