FG laments effect of poor communication network in hinterlands

Nigeria’s Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, said in Bende, Abia State, that poor telecommunications coverage harms rural health services and economic well-being. Tijani warned that patients facing emergencies may be unable to get help without a network and urged traditional rulers to protect the tower from vandalism. Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu said he attracted the project to help his constituents and criticized governors who block opposition lawmakers from bringing projects to their states.
