Cooperation: 78 Boundary Markers Built to Clearly Define the Côte d’Ivoire-Ghana Border

Ivory Coast and Ghana completed the first phase of reaffirming their shared land border, with the official handover of 78 boundary markers on September 24, 2026, in Diby, attended by representatives from both countries. Covering 150 kilometers, this effort involved installing main, passage, and intermediate markers to make the border more visible and prevent ambiguities. The initiative also aims to enhance cross-border cooperation and replace old, degraded boundary markers.
