The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has granted JPMorgan approval-in-principle to establish JPMorgan Merchant Bank Nigeria Limited. Kribi and Dibamba: Globeleq reports CFAF 15 billion in 2025 profits, despite a 24% decline

The companies operating the Kribi and Dibamba power plants earned combined profits of about CFAF 15 billion in 2025, down 24.2% from CFAF 19.8 billion in 2024. Their combined revenue nevertheless rose 5.9% to CFAF 82.6 billion. At Kribi, profit fell from about CFAF 12.8 billion to CFAF 6 billion despite higher revenue, while Dibamba’s profit increased from CFAF 7 billion to nearly CFAF 9 billion. Globeleq also reported continuing cash-flow difficulties linked to accumulating payment arrears.
