LAWMA issues Ebola preparedness advisory to health facilities

The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) issued a precautionary advisory to health facilities and medical waste handlers following the Ebola outbreak in parts of East Africa. LAWMA's Managing Director, Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin, emphasized that no confirmed case has been recorded in Nigeria, but proactive measures are necessary. He urged strict adherence to approved medical waste management procedures and infection prevention protocols to protect healthcare workers and the public.
