Troops rescue 36 abductees, neutralise terrorists kingpins in 1 week – DHQ

The Defence Headquarters reported that troops rescued 36 abducted persons and neutralised several terrorists during operations conducted between August 31 and September 3. The operations targeted terrorists, kidnappers, and criminal networks in regions such as Borno and Yobe. Notable successes included the neutralisation of one terrorist in Bama and another in Gujba, while 21 women and children surrendered to troops in Mafa following clashes between rival terrorist factions.
