Kenya: Amnesty to Ruto - Turn Promises On Enforced Disappearances Into Action

Amnesty International Kenya has urged the government to take concrete steps to end enforced disappearances and establish the whereabouts of missing persons. During the celebrations for the 16th anniversary of the promulgation of the Constitution, President William Ruto acknowledged the pain caused by past human rights violations. Amnesty welcomed his remarks but stressed the need for concrete actions to ensure citizens' fundamental rights.
