Promoting entrepreneurship in the fashion sector in DR Congo

DR Congo has a wealth of talented fashion designers who use local materials like raffia and participate in events such as DRC Fashion Week. The Congolese government, through the Ministry of Culture, supports the fashion industry to promote 'Made in Congo'. The Regional Institute of Fashion in Africa (IRMA) has opened in Kinshasa to train a new generation of designers.
