Social Protection: Government Insists on Systematic Declaration of Workers to CNPS

The Ivorian government, through the chief of staff of the Minister of Employment, Aubin Tapé, urged employers to systematically declare their employees to the CNPS during a forum on June 16, 2026 in Abidjan. This aims to ensure access to universal health coverage (CMU), social benefits, and pension rights. The government targets employers of domestic workers (drivers, maids, nannies, etc.) and extends the call to formal and informal sectors. Failure to declare exposes employers to penalties under social legislation.
