Searching phones without warrant unlawful, Police tell personnel

The Plateau State Police Command has warned its personnel against unlawfully demanding and searching citizens' mobile phones. Commissioner of Police Bassey Ewah issued the warning while addressing officers in Jos. PPRO Alfred Alabo stated that no personnel has the legal authority to search a phone without a court warrant.
