The Benin Textile Corporation (BTC) is ramping up operations at the Glo-Djigbé Industrial Zone (GDIZ) in Benin. The fully integrated plant processes locally grown cotton into garments for export, with an annual capacity of 24 million pieces. BTC operates 32,832 spindles, 83 knitting machines, and produces 9,000 tons of knitted fabric per year. The company manufactures T-shirts, polos, uniforms, sportswear, and other items as part of Benin's strategy to increase local cotton processing.
