Freedom Festival of the MGC of Simone Gbagbo: PDCI Boycotts, PPA-CI Present

The MGC of Simone Gbagbo held its 4th Freedom Festival in Abidjan, marked by the absence of the PDCI and the presence of the PPA-CI. Despite a formal invitation, the PDCI boycotted the event, confirming a split with the MGC. In contrast, the PPA-CI, represented by Angèle Boka, received a warm welcome, indicating a thaw in party relations. Simone Gbagbo opened the ceremony, highlighting discussions on 36 years of multiparty politics.
