Ballon d’Or: Organisers unveil three criteria for choosing the 2026 winners

The 2026 men’s and women’s Ballon d’Or winners will be announced in London on October 26. Under France Football’s regulations, jurors first assess individual performances and a player’s ability to influence matches, followed by team achievements and honours. Class and fair play are the third criterion. A panel of 100 journalists votes for the men’s award and 50 for the women’s award, with each juror ranking ten nominees.
