Woman arrested by DSS with 302 live ammunition jailed 20 yrs

Halima Haliru Umar was sentenced to 20 years in prison by a Federal High Court in Abuja for unlawful possession of 302 rounds of AK-47 ammunition and attempting to support acts of terrorism. She pleaded guilty during her arraignment on March 11 and was arrested by the DSS in Plateau State. Judge Hauwa Yilwa noted that she admitted the facts presented by the prosecution without providing a defense.
