Lawal unveils $200m lithium processing plant In Zamfara, targets 2,000 jobs

Governor Dauda Lawal unveiled a $200 million lithium processing plant in Boko, Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The project targets 2,000 jobs and aims to transform artisanal mining into an organized, sustainable industry. Lawal emphasized local processing of critical minerals like lithium to meet rising global demand. Several mining partner companies, including Zam Mining Company Ltd and Bima Mines Ltd, have invested in the project.
