Machete-wielding man shot by police in New York City Grand Central station

A man wielding a machete was shot by police at New York City's Grand Central station after allegedly wounding three elderly individuals. Police responded to a call about a man with a knife at 9:40 AM Eastern Time. The victims, an 84-year-old man, a 70-year-old woman, and a 65-year-old man, were hospitalized in stable condition. The man who was shot was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
