South Kivu: Emotional Burial of Students Victims of the Fire in Bukavu

The bodies of 27 students who died in the Cimpunda fire were buried on September 14, 2026, at the Ruzizi cemetery in Bukavu. Corneille Nangaa, coordinator of AFC/M23, called for awareness regarding the urbanization of the city, while Governor Patrick Busubwangwi mentioned the difficulties faced by fire trucks in peripheral neighborhoods. The city halted its activities to pay tribute to the victims.
