DRC-Mambasa: 43 civilians killed and about fifty homes burned by ADF in a week, according to a local organization

Between August 27 and September 1, at least 43 civilians were killed and 53 homes burned during attacks by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in 15 localities of the Mambasa territory in Ituri province, according to APDEF. The organization also reports missing persons and looting, as well as bodies left at the attack sites. The Congolese New Civil Society calls on authorities to facilitate the recovery of bodies and to strengthen the protection of civilians. The security situation threatens the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
