At least 80 deaths have been reported in the new Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with nearly 250 suspected cases recorded in Ituri province. Health Minister Samuel-Roger Kamba stated that the Bundibugyo strain has no vaccine or specific treatment, and its lethality rate can reach 50%. The outbreak was confirmed on Friday, with the suspected patient zero being a nurse who reported symptoms on April 24.
