Benin: Ulrich Vital Ahotondji Takes Leadership of the House of Media

Ulrich Vital Ahotondji was appointed director of the House of Media in Benin starting September 23, 2026, by Decision No. 06-08/AS of the Special Assembly of media unions. His main role involves managing the administrative and financial aspects of the organization under the authority of the Board of Directors. The appointment followed a lengthy recruitment process, including multiple relays and an extraordinary session of the Assembly, and comes after his responsibilities at the Observatory of Media Ethics and Deontology (ODEM). He also heads the media group Educ’Action and served as president of ODEM since March 2023.
