Empowering young people and women in Botro: AURKO Foundation focuses on agricultural training

The AURKO Foundation plans to train 200 residents of Botro in agricultural techniques—120 women and 80 men—to support economic inclusion and help fight poverty. Bè Amani, representing foundation president Anaud Théodore Yao, presented the project at Botro’s town hall on October 23, 2026. The initiative responds in part to rising food prices and difficulties sourcing agricultural products such as onions, and will focus on practical training, farming and access to markets. A plot of about five hectares is to be identified as a training farm.
