Northern Highway: The government anticipates flooding at PK24 to avoid paralysis during the rainy season

With the rainy season approaching, the Ivorian government has taken measures to prevent flooding at PK24 on the Northern Highway. Minister of Hydraulics, Amédé Koffi Kouakou, announced the construction of storm basins and drainage improvements to avoid traffic disruptions. Minister of Infrastructure, Hien Sié Yacouba, pointed out that flooding is partly caused by the degradation of the natural watershed due to uncontrolled human developments.
