Residents of Iriamogu Village in Imo State have appealed to Governor Hope Uzodinma to intervene against dredging activities along the Otammiri River, which are causing severe environmental damage. Joseph Oforegbu, President of the Iriamogu Development Union, expressed concerns over the degradation of farmlands and infrastructure. Despite attempts to engage with Marine Dredging Company, the community has not received positive responses and is considering protests if the situation does not improve.
