Haut-Katanga: 11 dead after two vehicles collide on the Lubumbashi-Kasumbalesa road

Eleven people died in a collision on the morning of Thursday, October 22, near Shinga village on the national road between Lubumbashi and Kasumbalesa in Haut-Katanga. According to the National Road Safety Commission, a Probox car and a jeep collided, though the circumstances remain undetermined. The crash also caused significant vehicle damage; the victims’ identities and the number of any injured people have not been disclosed.

Makurdi in Darkness as Electricity Workers Withdraw Services over Alleged Attack

Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, was left without electricity after workers at Jos Electricity Distribution (JED), members of the NUEE union, withdrew their services.
