In Zongo, head of the New Apostolic Church calls for welcoming vulnerable people

At a service held on October 24 in Zongo, Sud-Ubangi, New Apostolic Church head Helge Sven Mutschler urged worshippers to reject exclusion and show solidarity with vulnerable people. Speaking before hundreds of worshippers, local authorities and religious leaders, he emphasized human dignity, hospitality and compassion for the poor, the sick, displaced people and refugees. Drawing on the biblical image of the Good Shepherd, he called on communities to welcome marginalized people and put their faith into concrete acts of solidarity. The service marked his first pastoral visit to Central Africa since he became head of the church in May.
