Sanctioned tankers transit Strait of Hormuz amid US blockade

At least three vessels, including two US-sanctioned tankers, transited the Strait of Hormuz on the first full day of the US blockade on ships calling at Iranian ports. The tanker Rich Starry, carrying 250,000 barrels of methanol, is the first to exit the Gulf since the blockade began. This blockade was announced by US President Donald Trump following failed peace talks with Iran in Islamabad.
