How Abiola refused to sell June 12 mandate — Oshiomhole

At a lecture in Akure, former Edo governor Adams Oshiomhole revealed that General Sani Abacha was willing to give M.K.O. Abiola anything in exchange for relinquishing his claim to the June 12, 1993 presidential mandate, but Abiola refused to renounce it. Oshiomhole called this an act of courage and patriotism. He also said President Bola Tinubu is determined to accelerate constitutional amendments to establish state police.
