Former Bauchi State accountant-general Sa'idu Abubakar has been arraigned in a High Court over an alleged N11 billion loan fraud involving motorcycle procurement. He faces 16 charges including public fund diversion, forgery, criminal breach of trust, and abuse of office. Investigators allege he diverted N3 billion from a UBA Bank loan for 5,000 non-existent motorcycles, plus N4.65 billion and N3.36 billion from other loans. The case will continue at the Bauchi State Financial Crimes Court.
