Kano constitutes special committee to contain Diphtheria outbreak

The Kano State Government has established a special committee to address a diphtheria outbreak following reports of cases and deaths in the state. Chaired by Prof. Muhammad Adamu Abbas, the Director-General of the Kano State Centre for Disease Control, the committee will focus on Rano Local Government Area and conduct a comprehensive investigation to verify reported cases and strengthen disease surveillance.
