Successions to Traditional Chieftaincy in Gbêkê: Jacques Assahoré Condemns the Chiefs' Statement

The President of the Gbêkê Regional Council, Jacques Assahoré Konan, condemned the statement by traditional chiefs from the Diabo and Languibonou cantons regarding succession to traditional chieftaincy. He disassociated himself from this approach, which he considers contrary to local values and traditions. Assahoré reminded that the regional representative of the National Chamber of Kings and Traditional Chiefs, Nanan N'goran Koffi, was officially appointed by President Alassane Ouattara and that any dispute must be submitted to the competent authorities.
