The United States, through its embassy in Banjul, has launched a USD 930,000 Forensic Investigation Enhancement Project for The Gambia. This 24-month project will be implemented by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in partnership with the Ministry of Justice. It aims to strengthen The Gambia's capacity to pursue justice, responding to the findings of the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission regarding enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings between 1994 and 2017.
