Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar alleged a plot to prevent the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from holding its convention, condemning the move as an abuse of power. Dino Melaye, a member of the ADC convention planning committee, insisted that no force could stop the convention from taking place. Additionally, the ADC chapter in Imo State re-elected James Okoroma as chairman during its state congress. Mukhtar Adnan, a member of the ADC, also claimed there is a deliberate plot to weaken opposition parties in Nigeria.
