IPOB raises concerns over Kanu conviction, says appeal has wider legal implications

IPOB has renewed its campaign over the conviction of its leader Nnamdi Kanu, arguing that the appeal raises broader issues of due process, jurisdiction, and administration of justice. The initial judgment was delivered in November 2025 by Justice James Omotosho. The Federal Government also filed a cross-appeal. IPOB calls on legal practitioners and civil society to closely monitor the proceedings.
