Ahead of El Clásico, Laporta criticizes Mbappé and accuses Real Madrid of having “lost its credibility”

Ahead of the October 25 Clásico at Camp Nou, Joan Laporta told L’Équipe that Real Madrid had lost its institutional and sporting credibility and that relations between the clubs had ended. He said he was unconcerned by Kylian Mbappé’s arrival at Real, arguing that a team cannot have more than one “rooster” and that collective spirit must come first. Laporta criticized Madrid’s spending and contrasted it with Barcelona’s approach as Barça leads La Liga with nine wins from nine matches and 27 points. Real Madrid is third with 21 points, behind Atlético Madrid on 22.
