Soldier killed as troops repel terrorists in Sokoto

One soldier was killed after troops from the Combat Team of the 8 Division repelled a terrorist ambush during a patrol in Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State, Nigeria. The attack occurred on July 14 at about 5:30 p.m. near Zurmuku Village. The soldier sustained gunshot wounds and later died at a medical facility. A previous incident on June 30 had killed two soldiers in the same state.
