Ukraine: Facing Russian Assaults, Macron Will Lend Two Air Defense Systems to Kiev

Two SAMP/T air defense systems will be temporarily sent to Ukraine to intercept Russian attacks, following discussions between Emmanuel Macron and Volodymyr Zelensky in New York. These systems, designed by France and Italy, will be used until new equipment is expected to arrive in 2027. The program also includes radars and Aster 30 missiles, with delivery expected by October 2026. The two leaders also discussed the local production of air defense equipment.
