Kenya’s Ngetich breaks women-only half-marathon world record by a second

Agnes Ngetich won the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen, breaking the women-only half-marathon world record with a time of one hour, five minutes, and 15 seconds. She finished 50 seconds ahead of compatriot Veronica Loleo. The previous record was held by Peres Jepchirchir, set in 2020 in Poland. Ngetich has also secured other major titles this year, including the team half marathon and the World Cross Country Championships.
