Morocco Advances Digital Sovereignty At GITEX Africa 2026 Amid AI Transformation

During a high-level panel at GITEX Africa 2026, Morocco's Minister for Digital Transition, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, discussed digital transformation and the redefinition of sovereignty in the age of AI. Morocco aims to become a regional technology producer, targeting the training of 100,000 digital talents annually and supporting 3,000 startups. Strategic agreements were signed, including a digital dialogue with the European Union and partnerships with Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.
