Adamawa govt reviews pension, sets new minimum at N50,000

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has announced a new minimum monthly pension of N50,000 for retired civil servants, a significant increase from the N4,000 previously received by the least-paid pensioners for decades. The governor made the announcement on a Hausa radio program. The state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Mohammed Sali, could not be reached for comment.
