Frivao Case: After the Verdict, the Challenge of Fund Restitution and Victim Compensation

The Supreme Court of the Democratic Republic of Congo sentenced former minister Constant Mutamba to ten years of hard labor and Chançard Bolukola to seven years for embezzlement of public funds in the Frivao case. The Court also ordered the restitution of several amounts to the Special Fund for Victim Compensation, including $14,999,306. Both convicts are prohibited from holding public office and voting for five years after serving their sentences.
